Description

Aqualyx, 10 x 8 ml – intralipotherapy

Aqualyx also known as “Motolese Solution”, is indicated for the non-surgical treatment of localized adiposities. It is a complex micro-gelatinous injectable solution which consists of a release system controlled by absorbable saccharide polymers containing micro amounts of cleaning agents with short half-life.

Composition:

  • Polymer from 3, 6-Anhydro-L-Galactose and D-Galactose (0.5%)
  • Buffer systems (4.2%)
  • Sodium salt of (3α, 5α, 12α) – 3, 12-dihydroxy-5-cholan-24-acid (7.5%)
  • Water for injection purposes (87%)
  • Sodium chloride (0.8%)

What is intralipotherapy?

Intralipotherapy is one of the types of lipolysis treatments and is different from lipomesotherapy (like Lipo Lax, for example). Intralipotherapy uses phophatidylcholine (PPC) and sodium deoxycholate (SDC). PPC includes choline which is a chemical that controls cell membranes. It has been shown to be effective in dissolution of fat.

Intralipotherapy is an infiltration technique with a rigid and unmodifiable protocol, mandatory for physicians specifically trained in the infiltration of Aqualyx, as explicitly described in the package leaflet of the injectable device. This injection technique was developed by Prof. P. Motolese and is specifically designed for the infiltration of adipocytolytic injectable solutions. This injection protocol is mandatory and it is carried out with the exclusive use of needles with flow control in the Lipoinject® series.

Areas:

  • Double chin
  • Jowls
  • Upper arms
  • Armpits
  • Waist
  • Hips
  • Knees
  • Chest
  • Inner tights
  • Buttocks
  • Folds on the back

Indications:

  • Treatment of localised fat pockets
  • Treatment of pseudo-gynaecomastia

Method of use:

Each Aqualyx treatment typically consists of two injection sites. You can inject the area with local anaesthetic first or mix it with Aqualyx solution. Afterwards, the ultrasound device should be used in conjunction with the injectable to help dissolve fat cells.

Course: typically 2-8 treatments every 4 weeks

IMPORTANT NOTE: Aqualyx can only be used by physicians specifically trained in the practical application of the Intralipotherapy® injection protocol. This injection protocol is mandatory and it is carried out with the exclusive use of needles with flow control in the Lipoinject® series.
